The area was rich with family for C.M. His mother was Ellen Gianniny, Mr. Nick’s first cousin; his wife was Martha Baltimore (one of George and Fannie Baltimore’s four daughters). C.M.’s younger brother Branch worked for the mill and in 1920 was building a house next door to James Timberlake west on Woolen Mills Road. In addition to being a mill village the Woolen Mills was a family place. To the left, c. 1915, Len, Ellen and Jack on the front porch.
